A Season Of Opportunity

There have been so many times in my life where I felt like something was occurring because God needed my attention. I remember feeling this way before I made the decision to retire. Yes, my health was and is the number one reason why I am no longer teaching but spiritually I know it's bigger than that. My purpose on this earth is bigger than what I was doing in the classroom. However, I was so focused on moving to the next level that I began to lose focus of that purpose. That's when God stepped in.

At the beginning of this quarantine, I remember telling myself that God was going to use this time of stillness to speak to those who are willing to listen. I believe there is an opportunity for healing, growth and maturation in this season that is beyond where we could have ever imagined seeing ourselves. There is an opportunity to reflect on where we've been and where we are going. I believe that this time of stillness will offer us an opportunity to free ourselves from those things and people that are holding us hostage. We will begin to gain wisdom and insight into things that weren't clear. God is giving us an opportunity to reset, readjust, regroup, and realign ourselves with his will. The question is, are you going to take the opportunity to allow him to lead?

It may seem so dark right now for so many people but we have to be reminded of Psalm 23:4 "Even though I WALK THROUGH the valley of the SHADOW of death, I will fear no evil, for YOU ARE WITH ME; your rod and your staff, they comfort me". We are walking through this season with God as the light that cast over the darkness creating that shadow. God is that light at the end of this very dark time we are going through. We have to remember that we are seeds planted for growth, not burial. God is the light that provides the nourishment we need to produce fruit. So I encourage you to be wise in how you are using your time of stillness. Don't come out of this season the same. Come out of this season ready and willing to evolve into who you are destined to be.

Evolve with me!
